Working Together
Counselling is a safe place for you to explore any difficult issues you may be facing. It can be good to talk things through with friends and family. However, sometimes talking to an experienced, trained counsellor in a non-judgemental space can help you to come to a better understanding of what is going on for you and can help you to move forward. Although I won't tell you what to do, my aim is to create a space where I will work alongside you to increase your understanding of the issues you have come with and to guide you to a place where you feel able to make decisions that are right for you.
How long will it take?
Firstly, we will have an initial appointment, which will give us a both an opportunity to meet, for you to ask any questions that you may have, and to talk about what brings you to counselling and see if we can work together. This time will give you a sense of how counselling with me might be. It is important that you find a counsellor that you feel comfortable with.
Timescale
There is no 'quick fix'. It may be that you need only a couple of sessions to clarify something for you, or for others, 6-12 sessions can be enough. Depending on the nature of the work, longer term counselling may suit you better and I am experienced in both short and longer term work. It really is about what suits your needs and what will work for you.
Cost
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £55 for an individual and £65 for a couple.
